Iron Injections for Piglets

On our farm in México, we have over 300 pigs to feed our more than 500 children. Every month, between 24 and 28 piglets are born! Since we raise our piglets indoors, they are at risk of developing iron deficiency, since they do not receive iron from the soil and a sow's milk is also very low in iron. All of our piglets must receive iron injections within their first five days of life for healthy development. Each month, we purchase two 100ml bottles of iron.
